Chicago Pneumatic has launched the next-generation CP3T30 series of high-performance turbine angle grinders and sanders, designed to maximize productivity and efficiency. Delivering an exceptionally high power-to-weight ratio, these tools provide superior material removal rates, enabling operators to remove up to 63% more material compared to traditional vane grinders in the same timeframe, while reducing maintenance costs.
The CP3T30 range includes three grinders and two sanders, all powered by a cutting-edge 2300W turbine motor. This advanced design ensures unmatched performance, even on the toughest surfaces. At only 2.3kg/5.lbs (33% lighter than standard vane grinders) and 86mm / 3.4in in length, CP3T30 grinders are lightweight, compact and highly maneuverable, allowing operators to easily work in complex and tight spaces overhead, even at arm’s length.
The durable grinders have been designed to be ergonomic, safe and easy to use. Features include a lateral exhaust, which protects the operators’ hands from exhaust air, and a spindle lock and positioning button for quick abrasive changes and guard adjustments. Additionally, an auto balancer and anti-vibration handle reduce hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), allowing prolonged use without discomfort.
CP3T30 turbine grinders only require an oil change every 500 hours and full servicing every 1,000 hours. Designed for lube-free air and with fewer components than vane grinders, they minimize maintenance and lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
These grinders are ideal for medium to heavy-duty metalworking applications, including surface preparation in foundries, metal fabrication, shipbuilding and rail vehicle manufacturing. Perfect for tasks such as deburring cast parts, refining surfaces, grinding, cutting and sanding, CP3T30 tools maintain a stable speed, even under heavy loads, enabling users to achieve precise surface grinding with a high-quality finish.
