Marc Burnett wins 2017 World Desert Championships
Chicago Pneumatic congratulates Marc Burnett on winning the 2017 SCORE International Off-Road Racing points title in the Pro UTV Forced Induction class. Marc’s 10th place finish at November’s historic 50th anniversary running of the BAJA 1000 race was enough to take the title, winning on a tie-breaker over the second place finisher. “Marc is a fierce and tireless competitor who consistently goes above and beyond — on the race course, and for his sponsors,” said Billy Lipari, marketing manager for Chicago Pneumatic. “All of this season’s hard work, all the obstacles overcome, and all the long hours paid off. Chicago Pneumatic is proud to have been a partner along the way.” The SCORE International World Desert Championships series consists of four events, including the BAJA 1000, BAJA 500, the Tijuana Desert Challenge, and the San Filipe 250. The pro-UTV Forced induction class is one of many classes in the SCORE series, and refers to four-wheel, two-seat forced induction Utility Terrain Vehicles. “All the things have to line up to make this race happen,” said Marc Burnett. “I want to thank all my crew and everybody that’s helped me throughout the year.
